Quaestor CCI

The Quaestor CCI allows for authenticated personnel to perform lookups against customers, analyse transaction histories and perform tasks against individual financial transactions.

Security Under Your Control

The Quaestor CCI (Customer Care Interface) supports OAuth/OIDC integration as the primary authentication method, with local DB-based authentication as a fallback for confirming whether or not users have access to the CCI. This allows for full control of authentication on your own hardware, so that you can rest comfortably in the knowledge that access to your CCI is secure.

Full Transactional Reconciliation

One of the more common reasons to use the Quaestor CCI is in response to financial incidents that have occurred in your environment - using the Quaestor CCI, you can search for transactions using any set of specified criteria, including:

  • Posting/Value Time

  • Debit/Credit Accounts

  • Dollar Values

  • Account Creation Time

Performing these look-ups, you can then perform a set of actions against individual transactions, including reversing them straight through the CCI and returning customer funds to where they're needed to be.

Fraud Investigations

Alongside the standard transactional look-ups, some transactions may be automatically marked as potentially fraudulent. The Quaestor CCI supports looking up these values, and marking them as positive, negative, or as requiring escalation.

Action is taken against these transactions automatically by Quaestor once these values are set. This allows for any individual of your staff to be able to take action against fraudulent activity.

Auditability

Hartsec firmly believes in the principle of Auditability - all changes should be recorded and traced for not just legal purposes, but security, maintenance, and historical purposes too. This extends to the Quaestor CCI, with every lookup and action recorded in a permanent ledger to ensure that any abuse can be plainly tracked, action can be taken, and all malicious activities reconciled.

Hartsec provides the tools for you to perform your own independent investigations and are not responsible for malicious actors that you have authorised on your network performing any actions. Certain applications tiers mean that Hartsec support can perform investigations on your behalf - raise a ticket, and we'll act accordingly.

Service Configuration

Use of the Quaestor CCI allows you to perform certain configurations for your service in a safe manner through a GUI. This is a non-exhaustive list of configurations supported via the CCI:

Not all settings will be available to you out-of-the-box and may depend on external extensions being present, or use of the service being on a Managed/Dedicated node rather than a Public node.

NOTE: The Quaestor CCI was made with Vaadin Open Source, a third-party framework. Use of this product on your hardware may be subject to third-party license requirements - contact us for more details, and always perform your own research prior to use.
