What each disclosure level means

Most Hartsec products that are available for purchase use a minimal to minor amount of AI usage, but these terms aren't necessarily standardised. To ensure full transparency for our AI usage, we provide a detailed breakdown of the AI usage in each product.

To provide this, every Hartsec product page carries one of the following AI disclosure levels, describing how much AI assistance was used in that product's creation:

Minimal

This product was made with minimal AI assistance. This means that AI was not explicitly used for the entirety of this product's creation, however may have been used inadvertently for certain tasks (e.g. Google's AI Overview).

Minor

This product was made with a minor amount of AI assistance. This means that AI was not explicitly used for most of this product's creation and lifecycle, but may have been used for some minor tasks in a "treat like a coworker" approach. With this level, AI has not touched the bulk of the codebase.

Some

This product was made with some AI assistance. This means that the majority of this codebase was written by hand, but AI has been used for at least some of this product's creation.

Significant

This product was made with a significant amount of AI assistance. AI was either used to create or to write the majority of the codebase of this product. Human additions have been performed, and this product is still manually verified as per Hartsec standards.

Most

This product was made mostly using AI. The majority of this codebase was written by AI, and little to no human additions have been performed. This product is still manually verified as per Hartsec standards.
