1. Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Hartsec's products and services, including Quaestor. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Services are provided on a contract basis. Specific commercial terms, service levels, and usage limits are set out in the order form or agreement executed between Hartsec and the customer.

Hartsec is based in Australia, and these Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer protection or privacy rights you have under Australian law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Hartsec reserves the right to update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Privacy Policy

Hartsec is committed to handling personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where we deal with individuals based in the European Union, we apply the same protections in a manner consistent with the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the rights described below.

2.1 IP Addresses & Security Logging

When you use this website, your IP address may be logged and retained for up to 1 month for security purposes, such as detecting abuse, fraud, and unauthorised access attempts.

2.2 Contact Form Submissions

If you use the "Contact" form on this site, the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) is submitted to and stored on servers operated and maintained by Hartsec in Australia. We retain this information for up to 1 year, for marketing, sales, or legal purposes.

2.3 Cookies & Local Storage

This site does not use cookies or local storage for tracking, analytics, or advertising. The only cookie set by this site is a strictly necessary, encrypted session cookie used to keep authorised staff signed in to the administrative area; it is never set for visitors browsing the public site. A theme preference (light/dark mode) is saved in your browser's local storage purely to remember your display preference, and is not used to identify or track you. If this changes — for example, if we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in future — we will update this policy and, where required, seek your consent first.

2.4 How We Share Your Information
